Once the legendary relic at the bottom of each temple is found, the temple goes away forever and becomes the priceless trophy of the skilled adventurer.

Watching fellow players die in front of me. Not only did this clue me into how to approach problems, but sometimes, their corpses even gave me half a heart of health. 

Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them.

These are the Blessings that I prioritize on a run, and my reasoning behind each. This tier list is based on my experience with the game -- specifically, the blessings I have had the most successful Inferno completions with -- and may differ from yours.

Now the game forces you Phantom Abyss Speedrun to take damage, forces you into traps, and worst of all the entire game feels lonely. No more are there ghosts that die in silly ways, now you have to just hope that one of the million rng maps have a ghost on it.

An upgrade well that provides permanent upgrades can be found in the HUB and in the first floor of temples.

Players can share Temple Codes for their failed runs allowing friends to attempt the same temple or share their Adventure Code which yields a playlist of temples that a player has attempted in the past. System Requirements

is that you are one of many adventurers (other players) who have been trapped in the endless, shifting lair of a chained and rather malevolent Mesoamerican deity named Altec. Altec appears to have been sealed away by the Losana people a very long time ago and left chained within an old temple.

As adventurers venture further into a temple, offerings of collected treasures can be made at altars to gain a new blessing for the rest of the run. Collect as much treasure as you can to please the gods and gain a double jump, glide jump, extended slide, damage protection, and more!

This is all to say that Phantom Abyss falls somewhat short on achieving the goal of offering a challenging parkour adventure in a roguelite package. The whip and phantom gameplay involving other players’ trial and error are unique, but its clunkiness, difficulty, and disparate progression are worth a pause.
